As the safety and well-being of our participants is our upmost priority, CANS 2020 will be held as fully virtual conference due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The conference dates will remain unchanged (December 12-14, 2020), and also the publication in Springer’s LNCS series remains unaffected.

Even though a virtual conference is not a 1:1 substitute for a physical event, we are working hard to realize the best experience for all participants.

Following best practices and experience from previous conferences in the field, the following structure will be followed:

  • Speakers will be requested to upload pre-recorded videos of their presentations about 2 weeks before the actual conference, which will be made available to all registered participants well before the conference.
  • The live sessions will be held over commercial videoconferencing solutions. The required access information will be made available to the participants upon registration.
  • Sessions will consist of a brief (5 minutes) summary of the paper by the presenter, followed by a Q&A panel discussion among speaker, participants, and session chair.
  • All presentations and recordings of the live sessions will be made available to all participants after the conference.

More details will be announced soon.
